GunZ: The Duel (Korean: 건즈 온라인), or simply GunZ, is an online third-person shooting game, created by South Korean-based MAIET Entertainment. It is free-to-play, with a microtransaction business model for purchasing premium in-game items.
The game allowed players to perform exaggerated, gravity-defying action moves, including wall running, stunning, tumbling, and blocking bullets with swords, in the style of action films and anime. The closed beta for ijji GunZ ended on November 17, 2006. Ijji GunZ subsequently went live on November 29, 2006. The live service included clan wars and quest mode. The premium item shop was opened on January 8, 2007. Quest mode was updated on February 14, 2007.

New sounds and voice narrations were added to the game on May 9, 2007. In 2011 the source code of GunZ 1.5 became available online. The game was managed on an international gaming portal by ijji games until management shifted to the Aeria Games gaming portal in March 2012. In the first week of May 2013 (1st on the forums 5th on the homepage), Aeria announced that the game would be cancelled on May 31, and that the forums would be deleted June 31. They would only refund AP purchased during those final four weeks. AP purchased in prior months/years used to build characters would not be refunded to players. This closure happened 2 months following the announcement that GunZ 2 would be released for free in English on Steam.
In 2016, Masangsoft picked up the rights to both GunZ: The Duel and GunZ 2. Pdf scanning software for windows. Unfortunately the official GunZ servers are only available for people living in Korea. Hi everyone I don't know how many people know about this but I've heard that Gunz 2 is switching to Aeria games. I went on their website and they were saying that prosiebensat.1 games will be switching to Aeria games and they said that you'll have to make a new account with Aeria games.
Now i looked up what prosiebensat.1 games was and it's like a gaming company in Germany. Basically what I'm asking is if this transfer will affect all countries (ex: U.S.) and or steam users, or if this just affects European servers. The reason why i asked is because in the article it says it's switching all platforms to Aeria games and I didn't know if they mean steam as one of their platforms or not.
Anyways here is the link to the article and if anyone could give me some insight on this news announcement I would gladly appreciate it. Well I am not sure about what you are talking about, but:.
It looks like US players have the game hosted via Steam, which means this doesn't concern you. I'd like to say that moving GunZ 2 on Aeria is a good thing. They hosted GunZ 1 too, they have the know-how and the communiny who will appreciate having GunZ 2 on their site for sure. Yii 2 for beginners. Aeria is not the bad guy in this.
ProSieben started its gaming division by acquiring former Burda:IC GmbH, which was a company that created a gaming portal, Alaplaya. The portal is dead now, due to ProSieben's experiments, shutting down good games and weak&terrible customer support. Let's hope that Aeria will be kept working as it was before the acuqision and Pro7 will learn from them.
If not, well, EU gamers will have bad times. Aeria runs every game they own into the ground and turns them into gigantic money grabs when they feel a game is starting to fail. I made a big long post about my experience with them in some other thread talking about this.
For instance, A.V.A. Where they turned many guns that you could buy for unlimited time into 30 day purchases, without lowering the price. Yes, i bought a gun that lasts forever where someone else bought the same gun at the same price for 30 days. The main balance in A.V.A was making in-game currency hard to acquire.
Aeria was trying to run everyone's wallets dry until they felt they needed to buy prems. I played A.V.A quite a bit ever since it opened in 2007 and even before that on the Japan ver. It was a pretty good f2p for the time, but Aeria has successfully made it a horrible experience, especially for new players. Also they have absolutely ♥♥♥♥ing ridiculous loyalty programs, some lasting months, others lasting 3 days where you can buy $300 worth of crap for more cool stuff. I'm not kidding, there will be 3 day 'events' where you can get prizes for wasting $300 on video games. Plus they give hackers a free pass if they spend enough money on their games. What I don't get and I think is complete bullsh!t and just bad business, at least from what EU players tell me, is their accounts are being whiped out, any money spent and prems won lost.
I guess I could see that if it was Aeria who bought out Pro Sat like when Aeria took over for ijji on gunz 1 we all lost our items and even that was BS, but Pro Sat is taking over Aeria, so unfair to those players who put in any money. Doesn't make sense, is it really that hard to keep the integrity of their current accounts? Sounds scandulous and greedy! Some information on the conditions of the EU transfer to Aeriagames: - All accounts will be wiped, everyone will have to make a new account. Everyone who purchased a Founder's Package will receive something like a code to claim a new one.
(We never had anything else to buy because the company felt like they should finish the game before actually making people pay for it.) - We will have to be fast in remaking our personal nicknames and clannames before someone else takes them, this is the biggest downside on the whole reset. Most 'real' players here actually want a reset, to get rid of unfair ranks and such. We have a full clan here called Cx who are all gold+, simply because they went into an empty region and boosted eachother. Seeing them losing their rank is nice if you ask me. The servers will close on july the 8th, and we will get an e-mail when gunz 2 is available on aeria.
This makes remaking our nicks before someone else takes them a bit harder, and is quite annoying. From what I've heard, our terrible, TERRIBLE community manager, and the most childish and incompetent moderator we have, will both come along with the transfer, and remain as active (if you call once a month active) staff for gunz 2. Our best moderator will sadly resign.
To be honest, as long as aeria just provides decent customer service, and maintains the same prices as steam, the game won't need alot of management. So having any publisher wouldn't matter much, as long as the staff is active to help with problems, and the game actually receives updates. P7 did neither. We never received any help from the staff, and by the time a mod DID give a (mostly useless) answer, the question was likely already answered by +/- 5 other veteran players with actual information. We also never received any updates and patches on time, and it seems the QA bug testing team was only there for show, since p7/maiet would never do anything with their reports and suggestions. (I know this because I know several people in the QA team, who actually work their asses off for the game, but their suggestions and reports simply never get handled by those in charge.).

News Welcome back! As GunZ enters its 7th year for international players, the player count needs some improvement.
Players with nostalgia are coming back to enjoy the game once again and with the hopes to help rejuvenate the playerbase.
